Zelensky names the main result of the G7 Summit

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the main result of the G7 summit for Ukraine will be more air defence equipment to protect Ukrainian cities, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“The main result for us will be more air defence systems for our cities. ‘Petriots’ is actually a Ukrainian word. There will be more equipment and other necessary things for the frontline. We have also decided to use Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine, and this is the first significant step of the G7 regarding $50 billion,”
– he stressed.
According to the President of Ukraine, almost all meetings at the G7 summit were devoted to exactly what the Ukrainian military is talking about – Ukrainian needs and our capabilities now, if the supplies are sufficient and timely. Zelenskyy also announced new support from Canada. In addition, Britain promises to increase support.
“We are talking with all the leaders about speeding up the delivery of the announced packages to Ukraine. In particular, we have just talked about this with President Biden. Today I also spoke with Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, about new support. I also had a meeting with Rishi Sunak, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. There will also be a plus in terms of supplies. And a meeting with Fumio Kishida, the Prime Minister of Japan. I also had a good meeting with Giorgio Meloni, the Head of the Italian Council of Ministers. Thank you, Giorgio, for this meaningful summit and for all your support for Ukraine – for Ukrainians, for the protection of our children, families in Ukraine, all those whose lives are under attack from Russian terror,”
– zelenskyy added.
It should be noted that the leaders of the G7 countries agreed to allocate $50 billion for Ukraine through the use of frozen Russian assets.
