The meeting between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump in New York has ended. It lasted more than an hour.
“It was a very good, constructive meeting. I am very grateful for his (Trump’s – ed.) efforts,” Zelensky said.

During a brief briefing after the meeting, Zelenskyy told reporters that he had briefed Trump on the current situation at the front, including Ukraine’s defense needs.
He also spoke about the economic situation in Russia.
“We believe it is deteriorating. There are certain problems because they continue to earn some money. This is their way of life. And this is good news for us because they spend money on their military machine. While their economy is currently in a difficult state, they also need money, and the amount of money is decreasing, of course,” Zelensky said.
During Zelenskyy’s meeting with Trump, they discussed not only the Russian front and economy, but also the Kremlin’s hybrid attacks against NATO countries.

“We see it. We have a complete picture of these drones. This is Romania and Poland. Putin is using different types of long-range drones to test Europe’s readiness,” the Ukrainian president emphasized.

Zelenskyy emphasized that it is Trump who is able to change the course of events in Russia’s war against Ukraine. He also expressed his belief that the US President currently trusts him more than Vladimir Putin.
“President Trump is the one who can really change the situation,” Zelenskyy said.
