Zelensky discusses joint response to night attack on Ukraine with Macron

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the nighttime attack on the country by phone with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.
The head of state announced this on his Telegram channel.
“We discussed the harsh nighttime Russian shelling. <…> We coordinated our diplomatic efforts, further steps and contacts with partners to ensure an appropriate response,” the president wrote.
Zelenskyy added that Kyiv and Paris are preparing new measures to strengthen Ukraine’s defense.
On the morning of September 7, Russians launched a combined strike against Ukraine.
