Zelensky announces the losses of the Armed Forces: how many soldiers were killed and wounded

As of February 4, 2025, more than 45 thousand Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in the war against Russian invaders. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to Zelensky, Ukraine’s losses in the war amounted to 45,100 people. Another 390 thousand soldiers are wounded.
“Here I will be precise, the number of wounded is higher than the number of dead. There are also people who were wounded and then returned to the battlefield and were wounded again. Therefore, the number of wounded is 390,000,” he said.
Instead, the President of Ukraine said that 350 thousand occupants were eliminated, and another 50 to 70 thousand Russian soldiers are considered missing.
“They have about 600-700 thousand wounded. Approximately one to two ratio, because field medicine is weaker than ours. They don’t bring the wounded back, if a person is wounded on the battlefield, they stay there, so the estimates are about that, but they are very clearly true,” Zelensky said.
Zelenskyy also emphasized the number of missing Ukrainians and those who were taken prisoner.
“These are thousands of people who have gone missing. Really thousands. I do not know how many of them are really missing and how many are prisoners,” he said.
