President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyy, after which he announced new strikes deep into Russia.
The relevant publication appeared on his Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
He said that the state would continue “active actions in the way necessary to protect Ukraine.”
“The forces and means are prepared. We have also planned new deep strikes,” Zelensky emphasized.
Earlier, US Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker said that the United States was supplying Kyiv with weapons that would allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike deeper into Russian territory. He suggested that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would soon use these weapons. Whitaker did not specify what kind of munitions he was talking about, but reminded that the United States intends to sell Ukraine more than three thousand long-range ERAM missiles.
According to Whitaker, over the past month, Ukraine has allegedly disabled about 20% of Russia’s oil refining capacity.
