Zelensky deprived several people of citizenship over Russian passports

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree depriving several people who hold passports of citizens of the Russian Federation of their Ukrainian citizenship.
This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the post of the President of Ukraine.
“The head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk reported on counteracting Russian agent networks and collaborators in the frontline, border regions and in the south of our country. The presence of Russian citizenship in some individuals was also confirmed, and appropriate decisions have been prepared. I have signed the decree,” the head of state wrote.
Journalists on the air of the telethon reported that these were Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, former MP from the OPFL Oleh Tsarev, and ballet dancer Serhiy Polunin.
As a reminder, on October 13, a petition calling for the deprivation of Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov’s Ukrainian citizenship was published on the website of the President of Ukraine. In less than a day, in just a few hours, the petition collected over 25 thousand signatures.
The author of the petition, Myroslav Otkovych, called on President Volodymyr Zelensky to consider the issue of depriving the current mayor of Odessa of his citizenship. “In open sources, materials of journalistic investigations have repeatedly appeared, which contain data on the presence of Gennady Trukhanov’s passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation and a Russian tax number. These facts indicate that he has dual citizenship, which contradicts the Constitution of Ukraine,” the petition states.
