President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has extended the visa-free regime for the British for a year. The corresponding decree was published on the President’s website, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“To extend the visa-free regime for entry into Ukraine and transit through the territory of Ukraine for citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, if their stay in Ukraine does not exceed 90 days within 180 days, until January 30, 2026,” the decree reads.
The decree comes into force on the day of its publication.
Visa-free entry for the British to Ukraine was introduced back in 2005, but ceased to be valid on February 1, 2020, after the UK left the European Union.
However, on January 31, 2020, a visa-free regime for British citizens was introduced for entry to Ukraine, which is extended annually, with the aim of “developing and implementing the principles of partnership” between the two countries.
