Zelensky extends martial law and mobilization for another three months

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed laws extending the martial law in Ukraine and extending the general mobilization period by 90 days, until November 5. This is reported in the card of the relevant draft law on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The Parliament passed the bill on July 15, and on July 25 it was returned with the signature of the head of the Ukrainian state.

“The draft law provides for the approval of the decree of the President of Ukraine “On Extension of the Term of General Mobilization”, which extends the term of general mobilization from August 7, 2025, for 90 days,” the explanatory note says.

Zelenskyy extended martial law and general mobilization for the 16th time since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

For the first time, martial law was introduced in Ukraine on the first day of the full-scale war – on the morning of February 24, 2022 for 30 days.

Last time martial law and general mobilization were extended on April 16, 2025.
