Zelenskyy: Russia sets additional conditions for a truce in the Black Sea

26 March 23:44

Russia is trying to add its own conditions to the Black Sea truce agreement, but the United States must ensure the silence at sea. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Zelensky recalled that the other day, the delegations of Ukraine and the United States discussed modes of ending the war on energy and in the Black Sea. The teams agreed that there are still technical issues, primarily monitoring.

However, Russia is in no hurry to agree to a truce in the Black Sea, but is inventing new conditions, the Ukrainian president emphasized.

“The situation in the Black Sea is more complicated. Moscow is trying to write some additional conditions into the agreement, which does not contain preconditions,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President emphasized that Ukraine expects the US to ensure unconditional peace at sea.
