President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with US President Joe Biden at the White House. Zelenskyy spoke about the presentation of the Victory Plan to Biden. The leaders coordinated their positions on the initiative, and now the next steps are being prepared for its implementation. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing President Zelenskyy’s Telegram and the White House website.
According to the President of Ukraine, the meeting with Biden discussed details “to strengthen the Plan”. In addition, Zelenskyy added, the parties “coordinated our positions, views and approaches”.
“We instructed our teams to hold consultations on the next steps,” the head of state said.
Zelenskyy reiterated the “incredible importance of the United States’ determination” for Ukraine’s victory in repelling Russia’s large-scale military aggression. He added that “we deeply appreciate that Ukraine and America have stood side by side since the first moments of the Russian invasion.”
For its part, the White House said the two presidents met today to “discuss U.S. support for Ukraine in its defence against Russian aggression.”
“President Biden outlined his decision to increase U.S. security assistance to Ukraine, and President Zelenskyy presented his plan for achieving victory over Russia,” the statement said.
According to the White House, the two leaders discussed the diplomatic, economic and military aspects of Zelensky’s plan.
The two presidents also “instructed their teams to hold intensive consultations on next steps.”
In addition, the Biden administration spoke about the parties’ intention to study Ukraine’s victory plan in more detail in the coming weeks.
on 12 October 2024, President Biden will host a meeting at the level of the leaders of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group in Germany, where the two leaders will review progress in these consultations and coordinate with international partners on additional assistance for Ukraine.
After meeting with Biden, Zelenskyy shared the details of the Victory Plan with Vice President Kamala Harris.
“It is very important for us to be fully understood and work in full coordination with the United States. We must end this war, we need a just peace. We must protect our people – Ukrainian families, Ukrainian children – and everyone from Putin’s evil. And we are grateful to America for supporting Ukraine all this time,” Zelensky wrote.
It should be noted that the House Oversight Committee of the US Congress has launched an investigation into President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s flight to Pennsylvania to visit an ammunition plant “with US taxpayer money”.
It is noted that the Committee should determine “whether the Biden-Harris administration attempted to use a foreign leader to benefit Vice President Harris’s presidential campaign, and, if so, whether this is a clear abuse of power”.
As a reminder, on Wednesday, US House Speaker Mike Johnson demanded that Zelenskyy immediately dismiss Ukraine’s Ambassador to the US Oksana Markarova for allegedly interfering in the US election.
The Voice of America’s Pentagon correspondent Ostap Yarysh said that Republicans were offended by the fact that only representatives of the Democratic Party took part in the visit to the plant where weapons are manufactured for Ukraine and no Republicans were invited.
Earlier it was reported that US President Joe Biden is seeking to strengthen Ukraine at the end of his term in office. He has allegedly instructed all his subordinates to “move heaven and earth” to ensure that Ukraine receives all the help it needs from the United States.
It is known that Zelenskyy is already in the United States, where he is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on 25 September. By then, the Ukrainian president is going to present his victory plan to US President Joe Biden and his Vice President Kamala Harris, opposition presidential candidate Donald Trump, and the US Congress. Zelenskyy will also present the plan to all key partners. Only then will he share it with the Ukrainian people.

The day before, Zelenskyy said that the plan would be made public so that Russia would also be familiar with it.
The President of Ukraine considers his plan for victory to be “Plan A”, as Ukraine is currently moving towards “Plan B”, when support from partners is not enough to win.
According to Bloomberg, Zelenskyy’s victory plan includes points on invitation to NATO and EU membership.
