President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the key results of the latest Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s meeting. The main topic was the rapid increase in domestic production of drones for defense purposes. Zelensky said this in an evening

“I held a meeting today. The main thing is reports on the production of drones in Ukraine; we are increasing it as much as possible. And across the entire line of drones: from Mavic to long-range drones, and we are also increasing our Ukrainian capabilities for the production of ground robotic systems,” Zelensky said.
According to him, we need a constant, stable growth in production and supply of all the necessary parts of the unmanned component to the troops. There are also good prospects for the current year.
“In addition, we are working on fiber-optic drones – since the beginning of this year alone, more than 20 new certified samples of drones with fiber-optic control systems have appeared. Already 11 of our Ukrainian enterprises have mastered the production of such drones, and the task is to achieve the largest possible scale of production and supply,” the Head of State added.
The President noted that today he had instructed to conclude contracts to the maximum. There is also a positive trend in the “diplomatic strikes”.
“I cannot name specific figures, but this year we will provide the necessary volume for our Defense Forces. I want to thank all our companies that are involved, as well as all our soldiers, all the specialists – everyone who develops the unmanned component for our army, for all our forces,” Zelensky said.
