Zelenskyy: construction of a plant for the production of components for missiles has begun in Denmark

7 September 04:11

In his evening address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the start of construction of a weapons plant in Denmark to produce components for missiles and drones.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

“For the first time in history, Ukraine has begun to build a joint plant with Denmark on the territory of this country, and this will be the production of components for our missiles, for our drones,” the Ukrainian president said in his evening address.

At the same time, Zelensky did not specify where exactly in Denmark the plant would be built.

In early August, it became known that the Pentagon had signed a deal worth up to $3.5 billion for the production of AMRAAM medium-range air-to-air missiles. The contract provides for the production of advanced medium-range missiles designed for fighter aircraft.

The document of the US military department reported that these missiles will be supplied not only to Ukraine, but also to a number of other countries, including Denmark, Belgium, Japan, as well as the Netherlands, Canada, Finland and others.
