Zelensky honored Ukrainian and foreign journalists posthumously on Media Day

On the occasion of the Day of Radio, Television and Communication Workers, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has posthumously awarded French journalist Anthony Lallican and Ukrainian photographer Kostyantyn Huzenko with orders.
The corresponding decree was published on the president’s website, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
The award is made “for a significant personal contribution to the development of television, radio and communications in Ukraine, high professionalism and dedication shown during the coverage of the events of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine, and many years of conscientious work.”
French journalist from the Hans Lucas agency Anthony Lallican and the deceased Ukrainian photographer Kostyantyn Huzenko were awarded the Order of Merit III degree posthumously.
Lallikan was killed by a Russian FPV drone strike in the Donetsk region in early October 2025. Journalist and photographer Heorhii Ivanchenko was working with him at the site. He was injured.
The same eagles were awarded to Freedom TV channel employees – journalist Olena Hubanova and cameraman Yevhen Karmazin.
OlenaGubanova (pseudonym – Olena Gramova) was born in 1982 in Yenakiyevo, Donetsk region. Since her student days, she has worked in journalism. After graduation, she was a presenter at Melodiya radio, and later on regional television.
Since March 2021, Olena has been working at the Dim TV channel. In June 2023, she was awarded the Order of Princess Olha, III degree.
Yevhen Karmazin was born in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. Since 2022, he has worked as a cameraman for Ukrainian state broadcasting channels. Yevhen was 33 years old.
Both were killed by a Russian drone strike in late October in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. on October 27, a farewell to the journalists was held in Kyiv.
