President Volodymyr Zelenskyy enacted two packages of NSDC sanctions against traitors to Ukraine and military production in Russia on Tuesday, 8 October. Zelenskyy said this in his evening video address, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
“Today, two new packages of sanctions have been applied. Against those who betrayed Ukraine, as well as against military production in Russia – those legal entities and individuals who work for terror,” the country’s leader said.
He added that Ukraine’s sanctions and pressure on the enemy “will continue to be synchronised with everyone in the world who, like Ukrainians, wants real peace.”
The restrictions apply to 90 individuals and four legal entities, as well as 57 companies that help Russia wage war.
Decree No. 697 imposed sanctions on 57 companies that assist Russia’s military production, including one Chinese company.
The list of companies includes the Proteas group of companies registered in Cyprus, three Chinese firms, as well as Russian Rostec, United Aircraft Corporation, Progress Research and Technology Institute, Kamensk-Uralsky Foundry, Moscow Arms Company, MorspetsTechnika, Uralvagonzavod-Trans, UDK-Gas Turbines, and others.
Decree No. 698 imposed sanctions on 90 individuals and four legal entities. The sanctions lists include traitorous Crimean judges Oleksandr Abelyashev (involved in the persecution of former political prisoner Volodymyr Balukh and sentenced in absentia last year for treason) and Tatiana Shklyar, lawyer Tatiana Montyan and others.
