Ukraine has imposed sanctions against Rosneft and Lukoil, as well as Russians who are organizing the systematic destruction of Ukrainians by drones.
This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Telegram of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“We continue our sanctions work, today there are two new decisions. Ukraine has synchronized sanctions with the United States and imposed restrictions on Rosneft, its enterprises, and companies belonging to the Lukoil group,” Zelensky said.
According to him, sanctions against these companies are already significantly depriving the Russian war machine of money, and this should be continued.
“Ukraine is also imposing sanctions against Russian murderers who organize the systematic destruction of Ukrainians by drones,” the head of state added.
Zelenskyy also emphasized that he had also identified key priorities for sanctions policy by the end of the year: further synchronization of sanctions with partners, preparation of the 20th EU sanctions package, and toughening restrictions against the shadow fleet, Russian military production, collaborators and propagandists.
Details of the new sanctions package
The website of the President of Ukraine states that Zelenskyy signed two decrees that put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. They relate to the synchronization of sanctions with the United States and the introduction of restrictions against individuals and legal entities related to the production and operation of Russian drones of various types.
Thus, as part of the package synchronized with the United States, Ukraine imposed sanctions against 26 Russian legal entities related to the energy sector.
The second decree imposed sanctions against 36 individuals and 13 legal entities associated with the production, training, and operation of Russian drones. Among them are individuals involved in the activities of the Rubicon criminal center, which tests new weapons and participates in hostilities against Ukraine.
The sanctions were also imposed on Russian companies involved in the development and production of reconnaissance and strike UAVs, FPV drones, and unmanned aerial systems.
