Today, on December 13, Russia launched another massive missile attack on Ukraine, firing 93 missiles, including cruise and ballistic missiles. The strike was accompanied by the use of almost 200 drones. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Zelensky noted that it was one of the largest attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
According to preliminary data, air defense managed to shoot down 81 missiles, including 11 cruise missiles, which were eliminated by modern F-16 fighters.
“This is Putin’s ‘peaceful’ plan to destroy everything. This is how he wants “negotiations” – by terrorizing millions of people. And he is not limited either in range or in the purchase of the necessary components for the production of missiles,” Zelenskyy said.
According to the president, among the missiles used by Russia, at least one was manufactured in North Korea, which indicates the international nature of Russia’s military cooperation to support terror.
Zelenskyy called on the world to respond massively to this act of aggression.
He also noted that Putin has demonstrated a willingness to continue attacks by using oil revenues to purchase components for missiles.
“Oil gives Putin enough money to believe in impunity. We need a strong reaction from the world: a massive reaction to a massive attack. This is the only way to stop terror,” the President said.
He emphasized that only stronger sanctions and military support, including the supply of air defense systems such as Patriot, can stop Russian terrorism.
“If leaders are afraid to react or get used to terror, Putin perceives this as permission to continue. We need Patriots to shoot down these missiles and prove that terror will not reach its goal. It is necessary to strengthen sanctions against Russia for the war in order to really influence Russian missile production,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The President added that Putin’s words will not stop him. According to him, this requires force that will lead to peace.
“The world can stop this madness, and for this, first of all, it is necessary to stop the madness in Moscow, which has been giving orders for terror for 20 years. We need strength. Ukraine is grateful to everyone who helps,” Zelensky summarized.
It should be noted that on the morning of December 13, the Russian army carried out another massive attack on Ukraine. In particular, the enemy used Tu-95MS bombers, Kalibr bombers from the Black Sea, and ballistic missiles. Explosions are heard all over Ukraine. In particular, they were heard in Odesa, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Khmelnytsky regions.
