President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine would carry out controlled arms exports until the end of the war. And those weapons that are in short supply in the Armed Forces will remain to meet the needs of the army.
He said this during a conversation with journalists in Kyiv, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports citing Suspilne.
“Regarding the issue of controlled exports of weapons, there is no shortage of weapons in the Ukrainian army. This is how we approach this issue, because the priority is the Armed Forces. And where we produce more, we can export the rest, and get the money to spend on scarce goods – drones, long-range interceptors – that we don’t have enough money for. This system suits everyone. It suits the army,” Zelensky said.
Zelenskyy noted that the export of Ukrainian weapons will be controlled until the end of the war, and those weapons for which the Ukrainian army has no shortage will be sold to Europe, the United States and the Middle East.
In addition, he said that on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Ukrainian side agreed to sell weapons to some African countries.
“I already have offers from several African countries. To be honest, we have already chosen a country. Well, we’ll see, there is a big request for representation in Africa,” the president added.
on September 21, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had the first proposals for partners to export modern weapons of its own production.
