Zelensky says the war with Russia is coming to an end

“I think we are closer to peace than we think. We are closer to the end of the war. We just have to be very strong, very strong,” he said.

At the same time, the Ukrainian leader appealed to the allies to increase support for the Ukrainian army.

“The plan of victory is to strengthen Ukraine. Therefore, we ask our friends, our allies to strengthen us. This is very important,” Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy also called on the United States and the United Kingdom to lift restrictions on the use of long-range missiles they provided to Ukraine to strike targets in Russia.

The Ukrainian president said that only from a “strong position” can Ukraine “push Putin to end the war”.

It is known that Zelenskyy is already in the United States, where he is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on 25 September. By this time, the Ukrainian president is going to present his victory plan to US President Joe Biden and his Vice President Kamala Harris, opposition presidential candidate Donald Trump, and the US Congress. Zelenskyy will also present the plan to all key partners. Only then will he share it with the Ukrainian people.
