Zelensky invites Moldovan president to Ukraine

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Maia Sandu on her victory in the presidential election in Moldova and invited her to Ukraine. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the president’s official Telegram channel.
“I had a phone conversation with Mrs. President of Moldova Maia Sandu. I congratulated her on her victory in the presidential election and expressed support for the European choice of the people of Moldova on behalf of the Ukrainian people,” Zelenskyy said.
He added that during the conversation with his Moldovan counterpart, they coordinated further steps towards a common goal: the desire to become countries within the European Union.
As of November 4, Moldova has completed the vote count after the second round of the presidential election. With 55.33% of the vote, Maia Sandu (Action and Solidarity Party) won the election. Her opponent, Alexandru Stoianoglo, received 44.67% of the vote.
