Zelensky warned Ukrainians: why the coming days could be dangerous
25 November 00:52
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned citizens that despite active diplomatic negotiations on a peace plan, Russia is not stopping its pressure on Ukraine. Therefore, in the near future, it is necessary to respond especially carefully to air raid warnings and other threats of strikes. This was stated by the President in his evening address, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Why the risk of strikes is growing
According to Zelenskyy, even during the period of active international discussions on a peaceful settlement, the Kremlin does not reduce the intensity of attacks and provocations.
“We must also be aware that Russia will not reduce the pressure on us, on Ukraine, on our people. In these days, weeks, we should be very attentive to air alerts, to all such threats of attacks,” the President emphasized.
He noted that the Air Force Command and other units of the Defense Forces have already received all the necessary orders to respond to potential escalations.
The importance of the negotiation factor
Zelenskyy emphasized that if negotiations to end the war are ongoing, massive Russian shelling is absolutely incompatible with the concept of “constructive”. That is why he called on partners, especially the United States, to take into account intelligence about possible new Russian attacks.
“If there are negotiations and there is constructive, there should be no missiles. There should be no massive attacks on Ukraine, on our people,” the Head of State emphasized.
What was agreed upon in Geneva
The Ukrainian delegation has already returned from Geneva, where it held talks with American and European partners. According to the President, the framework plan for ending the war has become more specific.
After the discussions, the number of points of the peace plan has decreased from 28.
“As of now, after Geneva, there are fewer points, not 28 points, and a lot of correct things have been taken into account in this framework. There is still something to work on together, it is very difficult to make the final document, and we must do everything with dignity,” the Head of State noted.
The list of steps is close to being finalized, but the work continues.
“There is still work to be done – it is a difficult process, but we must complete it with dignity,” Zelensky emphasized.
