According to Levitt, Trump will take part in the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, where he will deliver a speech on challenges to the world order. Diplomatic week in New York
A Ukrainian delegation headed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy is attending the UN General Assembly in New York this week. The president himself said earlier that he would have a “busy week of diplomacy.”
During his talks with Donald Trump, the Ukrainian president is expected to raise issues of security, support for Ukraine in the war against Russia, and prospects for further cooperation with the United States.
Trump’s multilateral meetings
In addition to bilateral talks, Donald Trump will take part in a multilateral summit with the leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt, the UAE, and Jordan.
Why this meeting is important
Zelenskyy’s meeting with Trump will take place amid active discussions about further international support for Ukraine. The United States remains Kyiv’s key partner in defense and diplomacy, and the talks in New York may set the tone for relations between the two countries for the coming year.
