President to replace heads of regional administrations in five regions: list

3 January 21:15

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced the replacement of a number of heads of regional military administrations. The changes will affect five regions – Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Poltava, Ternopil, and Chernivtsi.

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the President’s Telegram.

Zelensky noted that personnel changes in the leadership are ongoing. Discussions are currently underway to change the heads of the regional executive offices in five regions of Ukraine.

“Vinnytsia region, Dnipro region, Poltava region, Ternopil region, Chernivtsi region. The range of candidates has been determined. Decisions will be made tomorrow, and I expect the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to approve the appointments in the near future. Next week, the new heads of the regions should start working,” he assured.

It is worth noting that in early January, Ukraine has already seen a number of personnel reshuffles and decisions. In particular, a month after Andriy Yermak was dismissed from the Presidential Office, Zelenskyy decided to appoint a new head of the Presidential Office – the former head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, became the new head of the Presidential Office.

In Budanov’s place, his first deputy and the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Oleh Ivashchenko, was appointed to lead the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine. There is no exact information yet on Ivashchenko’s replacement as head of the Foreign Intelligence Service – it may be the ombudsman in the security and defense structures, Oleksandr Kononenko.
