President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has changed the composition of the National Security and Defense Council to include the new head of the Presidential Office, Kyrylo Budanov. This is stated in the decree, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“To include Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, in the staff of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,” the decree says.

By the same decree, Zelenskyy removed Oleh Ivashchenko from the NSDC, who now heads the Defense Intelligence Agency instead of Budanov.

This decree comes into force on the day of its publication.

Over the past week, President Zelenskyy has announced a number of personnel changes, and on January 3, he announced a further “big reset” that will affect, among other things, the defense sector, the State Bureau of Investigation, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Thus, Zelenskyy proposed Kyrylo Budanov to head the Office of the President of Ukraine, while the GUR was instead headed by the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleh Ivashchenko. The president also appointed Serhiy Kyslytsia as the first deputy head of the Presidential Office. The government dismissed Kyslytsia from his post as First Deputy Foreign Minister.
