Zelensky changed the composition of the Headquarters: who joined on January 9

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on January 9 updating the personnel of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters. The document comes into force on the day of its official publication, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to the decree, three officials responsible for key areas of national defense and security have been included in the composition of the Headquarters. These are representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Office of the President, and military intelligence.
Who is included in the Headquarters
The head of state approved the following members of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters:
- Serhiy Boev, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine;
- Kirill Budanov — Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine;
- Oleg Ivashchenko — Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The update to the composition of the Headquarters reflects the strengthening of coordination between the political leadership, the defense department, and intelligence structures in the context of full-scale war.
Who was removed from the Headquarters
At the same time, the president removed Serhiy Deineka, who previously headed the State Border Service of Ukraine, from the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters.
The presidential decree takes effect upon publication.
