There are no fair proposals from the Cabinet of Ministers on economic booking yet. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a telethon, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Zelenskyy said that economic booking should be fair.
“How to find this fairness is the task of the Ministry of Economy and, above all, the Prime Minister of Ukraine. He has this task. The models they showed me, I think, are not very fair so far. It is difficult to choose one profession and not choose another. There should be other criteria,” he said.
Zelenskyy stressed that the reservation system is already in place for critical infrastructure and professions without which the army cannot survive.
“As for critical infrastructure, this has already been done. We understand that the defence sector is working. People are booked there,” he said.
Zelenskyy stressed that with regard to critical infrastructure and professions without which the army cannot survive, the reservation is already in place.
“This is a very complicated issue. I think that it (economic reservation – ed.) has not been introduced yet because of this, because it is difficult to find this balance. The military is afraid because they believe there will not be enough new forces. Business has a different attitude – if it is going to happen, what are the criteria,” the President summed up.
Earlier it was reported that businessmen complain about problems with booking employees.
What is known about “economic booking”
According to Danylo Hetmantsev, chairman of the Finance Committee, economic booking will work on the principle of “work or fight”.
“This will happen in the near future… One of the criteria will be a “white” salary, and another criterion will be the relevant industry, the list of which will be expanded,” Hetmantsev told ASATrons.
Meanwhile, the representative of the political majority in the Verkhovna Rada, Fedir Venislavsky, said last week that there are not enough votes for economic reservation in the Rada.
“Today I do not see that there are enough votes in the parliament to support such an economic reservation. Because this is another watershed between those who have good jobs, who have money, and those who do not,” Venislavsky said.
He noted that such a form of booking is still being discussed, but “the issue is very debatable.”
