Ukraine’s women’s hockey team wins the World Championship in its division

Ukraine’s women’s national ice hockey team has won gold in Division IIIA of the World Championship and qualified for the top division of the IIHF Ice Hockey World Tour, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

In the final of the championship, Ukraine, losing in the match, defeated Croatia with a score of 6: 1 (0: 1, 4: 0, 2: 0).

Overall, the Ukrainian national team won all 5 matches out of 5 at the championship.

The Ukrainian women’s national team has now been promoted and returned to the IІV division, where it played in 2020.

The Ukrainian women’s national team is currently ranked 38th in the world rankings. The highest achievement is 34th place in the rankings.
