Women doctors will not be hired without a military ID card

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has cancelled the rule that allowed women with medical degrees to get a job without being registered with the healthcare centre and having a military ID. The government made the relevant changes by Resolution No. 563 of 16 May, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The resolution cancelled paragraph 51 of the Procedure for Organising and Maintaining Military Registration of Conscripts, Persons Liable for Military Service and Reservists.
“Women who have been educated in a medical or pharmaceutical speciality and have not been registered with the relevant military commissariats and joint ventures (have not received a military registration document) before the approval of this procedure may be employed as non-conscripts until the end of 2026,” the resolution reads,
– it said.
Thus, only the provision requiring company managers to notify the MCC of female doctors and pharmacists working there remains in force. Unemployed female doctors and pharmacists must report to the CMC on their own to be registered for military service.
In addition, employers were obliged to send summonses by mail to remote workers.
