Media learn details of the EU’s peace plan for Ukraine

EU leaders have prepared their response to the US plan to resolve the war in Ukraine, which proposes not to impose any restrictions on the Armed Forces and to resolve territorial disputes after the ceasefire. This was reported by The Washington Post (WP) with reference to a copy of the document, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to the newspaper, Kyiv’s European allies, who have read the American plan, said that it needs to be finalized. In particular, the EU representatives are not satisfied with limiting the number of the Armed Forces to 600,000 people, as this will make the country vulnerable to future attacks. In addition, they call for not changing Ukraine’s borders by “force,” transferring control over the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) and Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, as well as the Kinburn Spit, to Kyiv, and so on. The Europeans prepared a counter-proposal on the sidelines of the G20 summit in South Africa and sent it to the United States for consideration.
Prior to that, US President Donald Trump, during a briefing, called the peace plan for Ukraine put forward by the White House the final offer to Kyiv. At the same time, the American leader emphasized that this conflict should have been resolved long ago and reiterated that the United States is trying to put an end to it “one way or another.”
