Rules for crossing the border to transport humanitarian aid have changed: what drivers need to know
8 February 07:23
Starting in 2025, drivers transporting humanitarian aid will be subject to new conditions for crossing the state border. This was announced by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko on his Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to the updated rules, drivers will be allowed to cross the border only if their data is entered into the Automated Humanitarian Aid Registration System.
This innovation is intended to ensure transparency and efficiency of humanitarian transportation control.
What is required for registration?
According to the MP, the decision to include a driver in the register is valid for three months. To be included in the system, you need to submit
- an application for humanitarian aid;
- justification from donors and recipients regarding the volume of cargo;
- information on the number of vehicles involved in the transportation.
How does it work?
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine now has access to the Automated Registration System. This allows them to quickly check information about drivers accompanying humanitarian cargo.
These changes are intended to make the border crossing process clearer and reduce the risk of delays. Drivers planning to transport humanitarian aid should prepare all the necessary documents in advance to avoid difficulties at customs.
