The power and water supply disappeared: AFU strikes at infrastructure of Belgorod region

Ukraine’s armed forces have struck at the infrastructure of Belgorod region, and there are significant power outages. This was stated by the governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports citing Russian media.

According to him, the consequences of the incident are being dealt with, and maximum measures will be taken to reconnect everything to the backup generation.

“Due to the fact that there is no electricity now, there may be interruptions in warning you about the missile threat or UAV attacks,” the governor added.

He emphasized that medical institutions in the region have switched to backup power sources.

In the evening of September 28, some parts of Belgorod lost power after the explosions. Residents of several districts reported blackouts. Some also complained about interruptions in water supply. Smoke is visible in some parts of Belgorod. Problems with electricity supply were also reported in the village of Chernyanka and the city of Stary Oskol, which are located far from Belgorod.

According to preliminary data, unidentified missiles hit the Belgorod CHP and the Luch power substation.
