The Ministry of Economy has announced the payment of UAH 138.3 million in compensation to agricultural producers for August applications under the program to support the purchase of Ukrainian machinery, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports. In total, there were 600 applications for the purchase of 952 pieces of equipment worth over UAH 663.7 million.

The equipment includes tillage machines, trailers, irrigation systems, transportation equipment, and other solutions made by Ukrainian manufacturers.

Details of the program

According to Andriy Teliupa, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, since December 2024, Ukrainian machine builders have sold agricultural machinery and equipment worth more than UAH 4.3 billion. This includes more than 6.2 thousand harvesters, plows, cultivators, sprinklers and other equipment that is already in operation in the fields and at processing plants.

The program operates on the principle that an agricultural producer buys equipment from the official list through one of 34 authorized banks and, after full payment, applies for a 25% reimbursement.

Conditions for participation

  • the agricultural producer must be registered in the State Agrarian Register;
  • choose equipment from the list of the Ministry of Economy;
  • purchase it through an authorized bank and apply for compensation.

Producers who want to include their products in the program can apply directly on the Ministry of Economy’s website.

The 25% compensation program applies to machinery and equipment with a localization level of at least 60%. Additional conditions are provided for certain categories, such as tractors, combines, self-propelled sprayers and grain carriers.

The program is implemented as part of the government ‘s Made in Ukraine policy, which aims to support domestic producers, increase the competitiveness of machinery and reduce dependence on imports.

Why it is important

In wartime, the issue of updating the machinery fleet is critical for Ukrainian farmers. The program simultaneously stimulates demand for domestic products and helps companies stay afloat by developing the domestic market.
