The Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) conducted an effective special operation in the Russian Federation. As a result of the strike on the Marinovka airfield in Volgograd region, two Su-34 multifunctional fighter-bombers were destroyed and two more were damaged. This was reported by the SBU press service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Su-34 is a key tool of the aggressor
Russia is actively using Su-34 aircraft to bomb the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular with the use of controlled aerial bombs (CABs).
“The enemy is actively using these multifunctional fighters on the front line for bombing, including for dropping CABs,” the statement said.
These aircraft are capable of carrying powerful weapons and pose a serious threat to both the front line and the rear of Ukrainian forces.
How the attack was carried out
According to the SBU, the attack was carried out using long-range drones that hit targets deep behind enemy lines.
The attack also started a fire in the technical and operational part of the enemy airfield, which is a critical infrastructure of the military facility.
It is there that Russians prepare aircraft for flights, carry out routine maintenance and repair work.
