The continuation of negotiations between Ukraine, Russia, and the US, which was scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi in early March, has not yet been postponed.

According to RBC-Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this during a conversation with journalists, as reported by Komersant.

“There is no new information. The meeting was scheduled for March 5-8… approximately March 5-6… The meeting was planned to take place in Abu Dhabi,” Zelensky said.

According to him, due to the hostilities, it is not yet possible to confirm that the meeting will take place in Abu Dhabi, but nevertheless, no one has canceled the meeting.

“The meeting must take place, it is important for us, we support this meeting. The meeting is important, the results are important, and the exchange is very important,” the head of state added.

What is known about the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia

Since the beginning of 2026, Ukraine has held several rounds of negotiations with Russia. The main issue that has not yet been resolved is control over the unoccupied territories of Donbas.

Russia insists on the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops, Ukraine proposes to freeze positions along the front line, and the US advocates the creation of a free economic zone in these territories.

According to Bloomberg, citing informed sources, the next round of negotiations is scheduled for March 4-5 and will be decisive.
