Zelensky’s meeting with the Servant of the People faction: what was discussed and what decisions are being prepared
21 November 01:58
On the evening of November 20, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a closed meeting with members of the Servant of the People faction. After the talks, the head of state confirmed that the conversation was not easy, and some of the topics were “sensitive.” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during his evening video address, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
What they talked about: the main theses of the president
In his evening address, Zelenskyy outlined the key emphases of the meeting.
“It is important that the internal situation in Ukraine allows us to be strong externally. In the evening, I met with the parliamentary majority faction, there were various issues, including sensitive issues. But the agreement is obvious – everyone has to work for Ukraine, and it will be so,” he emphasized.
According to him, the wartime parliament should remain a capable parliament. The Ukrainian President thanked everyone who helps to ensure this capacity.
“And there will be decisions that will help this. The number one task for everyone is a constructive diplomatic process with America and all partners. Stable support for our army and for all our planned defense operations and diplomatic strikes is a must. Diplomacy and defense equally protect the dignity of our state and the dignity of our people,” Zelensky said.
MP Ihor Kryvosheiev said that before the meeting, MPs were asked to hand over their cell phones.

MP Mariana Bezuhla published a series of comments in which she described the details of the closed meeting of MPs with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to her, the meeting left a “bad impression,” and the key issues she raised concerned the work of the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, the situation at the front, and decisions on parliamentary discipline.
The politician argues that the president lives in a distorted information space where he is provided with incomplete or distorted information.
“Zelenskyi definitely has an information bath,” Bezuhla said.
She emphasized that she did not remain silent at the meeting and openly voiced her position on the leadership of the OP and the decisions made during the war.
Bezuhla clarifies that she asked the president a number of fundamental questions during the meeting.
1. Dismissal of Andriy Yermak
According to the MP, she directly asked Zelenskyy when exactly he would make a decision on the head of the Presidential Office.
“The fact that the President does not want to fire Yermak does not mean that he will not fire him. Volodymyr Oleksandrovych has little time,” she wrote.
2. Mindich
Bezuhla noted that the name “Mindich” – a person associated with several public scandals – was mentioned only once at the meeting, and it was her remark.
3. Situation at the front
She raised the question:
- russian breakthrough in the south,
- the actions of the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi,
- the work of the head of the relevant department, Sidorenko.
4. Law on the absence of officials from parliament
Bezuhla reminded Zelenskyy of her vision of vetoing the law that allows officials not to attend the Verkhovna Rada.

The informal part: what the media write
Some media outlets also report that the president assured MPs that he would not dismiss Andriy Yermak from the post of head of his office. In addition, Yulia Svyrydenko’s government is also staying on, despite the dismissal of former Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko and former Energy Minister Svitlana Hryshchuk over the investigation into embezzlement at Energoatom.
Zelensky also spoke out against the “reassembly of the coalition.” Earlier, this opinion was expressed by the European Solidarity and Voice factions, as well as some members of the Servant of the People faction.
At the meeting, the President of Ukraine and members of the Verkhovna Rada discussed key legislative initiatives and decisions necessary for the state to be taken in the near future.
