Weather forecast for April 9: Arctic air, frost and precipitation

on April 9, cold weather will continue to prevail in Ukraine, caused by the Arctic air mass coming from the northern latitudes. Such a synoptic situation will help maintain low temperatures both at night and during the day. This was reported by «Комерсант Український» with reference to the Ukrainian Weather Center.
General forecast for Ukraine
On April 9, the weather will be influenced by the Arctic air mass, and the atmospheric pressure will change: at night it will increase, forming a high pressure field in most areas, and during the day it will begin to decrease.
Precipitation: mostly without significant precipitation. Only in the south and southeast during the day there may be light wet snow with rain.
Cloudcover: cloudy with clearings.
Wind: northwest, in the southeastern part of the country – southwest, speed 5-10 m/s.
Temperature:
At night: frost 0-5° below zero.
During the day: 1-6° Celsius, in Transcarpathia and the southeast – 3-8° Celsius.
In the Carpathians: light snow at night, no precipitation during the day. The temperature will be 4-9° below zero at night, 0-3° below zero during the day.
Weather in Kyiv region and Kyiv
The forecast also calls for cold weather in Kyiv region and the capital:
- Precipitation: no significant precipitation, cloudy with clearings.
- Wind: northwest, 5-10 m/s.
- Temperature:
- At night: frost in the region 0-5° Celsius, in Kyiv 2-4° Celsius.
- During the day: 1-6° warm.
Residents of Kyiv and the region should prepare for a cold morning with possible frosts, but the temperature will rise slightly in the afternoon.
