on November 11, power outage schedules will be in effect around the clock

11 November 00:35

on November 11, measures to limit electricity consumption will be introduced in most regions of Ukraine. This means that during the day, power companies will apply hourly outage schedules and power restrictions for industrial enterprises. This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The reason for such actions is the consequences of massive Russian missile and drone attacks that damaged a number of key energy facilities.

When and how the restrictions will be applied

For household consumers:

  • from 00:00 to 23:59, hourly blackout schedules will be in effect,
  • the volume will be from 2 to 3.5 queues (depending on the load on the grid and the region).

For industrial enterprises:

  • from 00:00 to 23:59, the power consumption capacity will be limited.

Important: schedules may change throughout the day. Power engineers urge you to follow the updates on the official pages of your regional power company.

State of the power system

Despite the significant damage, power engineers are working continuously to restore the equipment as soon as possible.

Currently, Ukraine is living in the mode of stabilization blackouts, which may last for several weeks.

on November 8, Russia launched a massive attack on energy facilities, and on November 9, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced talks with international partners to support the Ukrainian energy system.

What consumers should do

Check the outage schedules on the website or social media of your regional power distribution company.

Plan the use of household appliances (washing, charging, cooking) during hours when there is power.

Unplug appliances during outages to protect them from power surges.

When electricity is supplied, use it sparingly so that the system can operate more stably.

How long will the blackouts last?

The Ministry of Energy has clarified that emergency blackouts will remain in effect until the power system is fully stabilized.

For now, the schedules of power supply restrictions for the population are in effect throughout the country.

What it means for consumers:

  • outages may be uneven across regions, depending on the load on the grid;
  • critical infrastructure (hospitals, water and heat supply facilities) will be connected first;
  • ukrainians are advised to use electrical appliances sparingly, especially in the evening.
