12 wounded in Mukachevo, 1 dead in Lviv: consequences of overnight rf strikes

Russian occupiers carried out a large-scale combined attack on the territory of Ukraine on the night of August 21, using Shahed-type drones and cruise missiles. The strikes hit several regions of the country, resulting in deaths and injuries.

According to preliminary reports, at least one person was killed in Lviv and 12 others were wounded in Mukachevo after a targeted strike on an industrial facility. Elimination of the aftermath of the attack is now underway, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

Mukachevo

Mukachevo in Transcarpathia, where Russian troops carried out a targeted strike on an industrial facility, has suffered the most. According to journalist Vitaliy Glagoly, at about 4:30 a.m. two Russian missiles hit the territory of the Flex plant, a well-known manufacturer of electronic components.

At the time of the attack, there was a night shift of workers at the plant. Although work was suspended during the air alert and people were taken to a covered assembly area, casualties could not be avoided. As a result of the strike, the factory’s warehouses were destroyed and a large-scale fire broke out on the territory.

According to official data from the Mukachevo city council and the chairman of the Transcarpathian OVA, Miroslav Biletsky, 12 people suffered injuries of varying complexity. Ten of the injured were taken to hospital by ambulances, two more sought medical help on their own. Five people remain on inpatient treatment, one patient was transferred to the regional hospital. Medics report that the condition of all the victims is stable.

The rescue operation lasted several hours – emergency workers were extinguishing the fire and removing the rubble under fire.

Lviv

In Lviv, a Russian strike claimed a human life. The Russians hit the city using both Shahed drones and cruise missiles. The flight was recorded on Elena Stepanovna Street, the same neighborhood that was hit a month ago.

Lviv Regional State Administration Chairman Maksym Kozitsky said one person was killed in the attack and two others were injured. Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said that dozens of residential houses were damaged by the blast wave – their windows were blown out and roofs were damaged.

All emergency services worked at the scene of the incident. In addition to the main focus of damage, there is information about fire in other parts of the city. The city authorities are preparing a meeting of the emergency commission to assess the extent of the damage.

Zaporizhzhya

Russian occupants struck Zaporizhzhya twice during the night. The main target of the attack was the city’s industrial infrastructure facilities, which were damaged.

The head of Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration Ivan Fedorov said that the blast wave from the strikes also damaged residential houses near the industrial facilities.

Secretary of Zaporizhzhya City Council Regina Kharchenko specified the scale of destruction: 8 multi-storey houses and 2 private houses were damaged. The main damages are broken windows, destroyed balconies, in some places the roof is damaged.

Communal services immediately after the attack began work to eliminate the consequences. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties in Zaporizhzhya, but the information is being clarified.
