25-year-old Ukrainians will receive military rank without being called to the Military Commission – Ministry of Defense

25-year-old persons liable for military service who have not done military service or basic military training will be automatically granted the military rank of “reserve soldier (sailor)” and put on the military register. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
On July 30, the Cabinet of Ministers approved and detailed certain procedures for military registration and conscription of citizens for military service during mobilization.
The government approved the innovations by adopting a resolution “On Amendments to Certain Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Certain Issues of Military Registration and Conscription of Citizens during Mobilization.”
In particular, the adopted document establishes
- automatic registration of women with medical education without their personal presence;
- sending calls by registered letters with a list of enclosures and a notice of delivery to the address of residence;
- assignment of the military rank of “reserve soldier (sailor)” simultaneously with the registration of persons who have reached the age of 25 and have not undergone military service or basic military training, without their being summoned to the MCC and JIC;
- forming name lists using the Oberig system to organize the dispatch of commands during conscription.
