29 October 2025 04:00

Today, October 29, scheduled power outages will continue in Ukrainian regions. This was announced by NPC Ukrenergo, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The restrictions will be in effect mainly in the daytime and will apply to both domestic and industrial consumers.

When the power will be cut off

For households

Hourly outage schedules will be applied from 08:00 to 22:00. The volume of outages will range from 0.5 to 1.5 queues, meaning that the duration and frequency of outages will be lower than in previous days.

For industrial consumers

Power supply restrictions will be in effect from 07:00 to 22:00.

Ukrenergo notes that the exact time and volume of outages may vary throughout the day depending on the situation in the power system and the level of consumption.

Why the restrictions are being introduced

These measures are forced after a massive attack by the Russian occupiers on the night of October 22, when the enemy deliberately attacked energy facilities, including in Kyiv. Since then, blackouts have been introduced almost every day, except for Sunday, October 26.

Russian occupants have been shelling Ukrainian energy facilities since September. The enemy intensified its attacks as the weather started to get colder. As a result of the Russian terror, power supply problems continue in many regions of the country.

The most difficult situation with power supply after Russian shelling is observed in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Odesa regions. Power engineers continue to make repairs, but they cannot be carried out quickly due to constant enemy shelling.

What it means for citizens

Outage schedules allow to evenly distribute the load on the power grid and ensure stable operation of critical infrastructure.

“Ukrenergo calls on citizens to use electricity sparingly, especially during peak consumption hours, as well as to charge gadgets and plan the operation of electrical appliances in advance.
