30 billion in 2 years generated by the most profitable private medical institutions in Ukraine

As of the end of April 2025, 7768 private medical institutions were officially registered in Ukraine, with a total revenue of about UAH 45.7 billion in 2023 and about UAH 64.7 billion in 2024. This is evidenced by the data of the YC.Market research, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
The main points:
- The total turnover of the 15 most profitable private clinics for the period 2023-2024 is more than UAH 30 billion. On average, the revenue of the analyzed private medical institutions in 2024 increased by 26% compared to 2023.
- 5 of them are laboratory chains.
- 12 out of 15 analyzed medical institutions are owned by foreign companies from Cyprus (4), British Virgin Islands (2), Netherlands (2), Liechtenstein (1), Czech Republic (1), Germany (1) and Latvia (1) – however, the majority of beneficiaries are still Ukrainian citizens.
- Private healthcare in Ukraine remains concentrated in Kyiv: it is here that the main offices and the largest clinical complexes are located, generating the lion’s share of revenues. Kyiv is a kind of “hub” for medical investments and consumption of paid services.
Which private healthcare companies earn the most in Ukraine
According to the YouControl.Market analytical platform, the leader of the private healthcare market in Ukraine in terms of revenue is the Kyiv-based Dobrobut network (UAH 5.7 billion in revenue).
The second and third positions are occupied by the largest laboratory chains – DILA (UAH 4.85 billion) and Cinevo Ukraine (UAH 4.29 billion).
Odrex Medical House in Odesa is in fourth place (UAH 1.92 billion).
The top five also includes Biopharma Plasma (about UAH 1.53 billion in revenue).
Regional structure of private clinics
The vast majority of large players are concentrated in Kyiv: 10 of the top 15 companies are registered in Kyiv, and they accounted for more than UAH 13 billion in revenue in 2024 (≈75% of the total revenue of all 15 companies). Two more companies are based in Kyiv region (near Kyiv) and concentrate on the capital’s market. In other words, about three-quarters of the large private healthcare market in Ukraine is in the capital and its suburbs.
For comparison, Odesa region accounts for UAH 1.66 billion (about 9.5%), Lviv region for UAH 0.95 billion (5.4%), and Dnipropetrovs’ k region for UAH 0.81 billion (4.6%). Other regions are not represented in the TOP-15.
