37 hits in 15 locations: what is known about Russia’s night attack on Ukraine

On the night of November 24, the Russian occupiers launched 162 drones of various types at Ukraine. Most of the drones were shot down, but 37 hits were recorded in different locations. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Telegram of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the massive strike began around 19:00 on November 23.
The drones were launched from the territory of the Russian Federation – from the areas of Kursk, Bryansk, Orel, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from the temporarily occupied Crimea (Gvardeyskoye).
The attack was characterized by the use of several types of drones to complicate the work of air defense.
More than 80 of the drones were Shaheds, which are used by Russia as a cheap, massive instrument of terror.
How Ukrainian air defense worked
The attack was repelled by
- air Force aviation,
- anti-aircraft missile units,
- mobile fire groups,
- electronic warfare units.
As of 09:00 a.m., 125 drones had been shot down or suppressed in the north, east, and south of the country.
However, some of the drones managed to break through the defense – 37 hits were recorded in various regions and debris fell in another area.

Which regions were hit the hardest
Civilian objects and private homes were hit. Most of the damage was done in:
- Kharkiv region,
- Chernihiv region,
- Dnipropetrovs’k region.
Civilian casualties were reported.
Attack on Kharkiv
As a result of a massive drone strike on the city of Kharkiv, fires broke out, causing deaths and injuries.
In the evening of November 23, the enemy launched UAV strikes on Shevchenkivskyi and Saltivskyi districts of Kharkiv. As a result of the strikes, buildings were destroyed and several fires started. Three residential buildings and an infrastructure facility were on fire.








According to preliminary data, 4 people were killed and at least 13 were injured, including two children.
The State Emergency Service units, including pyrotechnic crews, are involved in the aftermath of the enemy attack. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service are working at the scene.
