on November 4, schedules of hourly power outages will be introduced in some regions of Ukraine. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Ukrenergo.
The reason for the restrictions was the consequences of another Russian missile and drone attack that damaged energy infrastructure facilities.
When exactly the outage schedules will be in effect:
- from 08:00 to 11:00
- from 15:00 to 22:00
During these periods, the load will be from 0.5 to 1.5 queues, depending on the situation in the power system. Also, during these periods, power limitation schedules for industrial consumers will be in effect.
Ukrenergo emphasizes that the time and volume of outages may vary throughout the day, depending on the stability of the power system and the level of consumption.
“We ask citizens to follow the updates on the official pages of their regional power distribution companies to keep abreast of changes in the outage schedules,” the company said.
Who determines the number of queues in the regions
The decision on the number of GDS queues to be used in certain regions is made by the chief dispatcher of Ukrenergo. It depends on the level of electricity deficit in a particular region, consumption volumes, and the number of industrial facilities and critical infrastructure enterprises.
“Consumption in different regions of Ukraine differs significantly, so blackout schedules are formed individually for each regional power company,” the Ministry of Energy said.

Energy companies urge Ukrainians to use electricity as economically as possible:
- not to turn on energy-intensive appliances at the same time,
- limit the use of electric stoves, boilers, and air conditioners,
- turn off lights in rooms where no one is present.
