Maksym Krippa, an investor in the Ukrainian development company DIM, has initiated an internal investigation into the group’s marketing director, Daria Bedia.
Earlier, journalists of the Schemes program found out that it was she who posted UAH 44 million bail for Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov.
He is suspected of abuse of office and obtaining undue advantage, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
The businessman’s press service told Radio Liberty:
“We learned about the situation with bail from your request. After that, Maksym Krippa initiated an internal audit of the personal activities of the employee in question.”
They also emphasized that Krippa is not involved in the company’s operations and is not aware of the actions of individual managers, including those not related to their job responsibilities.
Earlier, DIM’s managing partner Oleksandr Nasikovsky said in a comment to Schemes that he knew nothing about Bedi’s bail for Chernyshev. According to him, she did not coordinate this decision with the management. Nasikovsky also added that he did not know Chernyshev and had never communicated with him.
He clarified that Daria Bedia had submitted her resignation: “She informed us about it last week, and this Friday is her last working day. It was her own decision.”
Schemes journalists tried to contact Bedia by phone. At first, she promised to call back, but later, when asked about the bail, she asked to postpone the conversation to another time because of inconvenience.
In addition to Bedia, Chernyshev was also bailed out by Foravto Tor, a company from Dnipro, which posted UAH 66 million. The company was founded in April 2025 and is engaged in the wholesale trade of auto parts. Eduard Martynenko, the company’s CEO and owner, assured that this was the first time he had heard of his company posting bail.
Chernyshev’s wife Svitlana paid over UAH 10 million more. The minister’s declaration for 2024 indicates that she had appropriate savings.
According to the HACC, the entire amount of bail for Chernyshov – UAH 120 million 2668 – has been paid. The Minister previously reported that his personal accounts were blocked, so he was raising funds.
On June 23, NABU and SAPO notified Chernyshov of suspicion of abuse of power and bribery in the construction sector. According to the investigation, it is a matter of providing a land plot in Kyiv to a developer on preferential terms in exchange for discounts on housing for the Minister and his close associates.
Oleksiy Chernyshov called the suspicion unfounded and said he had no plans to resign. He became the sixth suspect in the case of a large-scale corruption scheme in the construction industry.
