The SBU uncovered corruption schemes involving the head of the regional centre for medical and social expertise of the Mykolaiv Regional Council. She, according to the investigation, helped tax evaders obtain illegal documents and used her official position to obtain significant illegal income, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"

During the searches conducted by the SBU, the suspect was found to have more than $450,000 and a large collection of jewellery. Most of the seized property was found not at the official’s main residence, but at the home of her son, a medical school intern.

In addition to jewellery and money, they also found a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. According to the available information, the young man received the citizenship of the aggressor state before the full-scale invasion began in the former Russian Consulate General in Odesa.

It was established that the official registered real estate in the name of her son to hide the illegally obtained funds. The investigation revealed that he owns three undeclared apartments, which were purchased to conceal his mother’s illegal income.
