As a result of a large-scale air attack on the Ukrainian capital last night, the premises of the Channel 5 TV channel were seriously damaged. This was reported on the media holding’s website, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to the TV channel, all employees who were in the office during the night shift remained unharmed and did not suffer any injuries. However, the building was heavily damaged.

The television studio suffered the most, with serious damage. Some of the professional filming equipment was completely destroyed, and the employees’ workplaces were damaged. The scale of the damage makes it impossible to resume television broadcasting immediately.

Due to technical problems caused by the attack, the channel is currently unable to provide broadcasting either on television or through the online platform YouTube. The channel’s management emphasizes that all relevant services and technical specialists are working in an intensive mode to eliminate the consequences of the damage.

The channel’s editorial team assures viewers that restoration work is ongoing around the clock, and the team is making every effort to return to full broadcasting as soon as possible.

In the meantime, Channel 5 continues to inform its audience on Facebook, Telegram, WhatsApp and X (formerly Twitter), as well as on its official website.
“The enemy wants to destroy everything Ukrainian, support the Ukrainian Defense Forces, each other and do not forget that we are all fighting for our right to exist,”

“Channel 5 is a scandalous mouthpiece of Ukrainian politics
“Channel 5 appeared in 2003 and from the very beginning was associated with the hottest political battles in Ukraine. The channel became one of the key media players during the Orange Revolution of 2004, actively supporting Viktor Yushchenko and helping to mobilize protesters on the Maidan. At that time, the channel earned a reputation as a “revolutionary” media outlet that was not afraid to go against the government and say what others were silent about.
The channel has become widely known for its aggressive style of political news reporting and its penchant for heated debate. It specializes in covering political scandals and controversial topics, which attracts an audience that seeks emotionally charged news instead of dry facts.
This style is due in no small part to the fact that the channel is owned by Petro Poroshenko, the fifth president of Ukraine. This has always created tension around editorial policy and the independence of its coverage, especially when it comes to the owner’s political rivals. Despite all the controversy, Channel 5 remains an influential media outlet in the country, capable of shaping public opinion and stirring up political passions.
