Andriy Yermak to be served with a notice of suspicion

27 January 18:16

Today, MP Oleksiy Goncharenko announced that the former head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, will “very soon be served” with a suspicion notice. He announced this on his Telegram channel, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

“Andriy Yermak is traveling around Kyiv in an ambulance. This will not help him personally. The former head of the President’s Office will be served with a notice of suspicion very soon,” the politician wrote.

On the same day, former deputy Boryslav Bereza also published announcements about possible future procedural actions by NABU/SAPO against Andriy Yermak.

“It is no longer a secret and it is known that this week, former head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak will be charged with corruption. It is not known whether Yermak will be defended by lawyer Bakanov and whether Ali Baba will again cry out that he has been stripped of his honor and is immediately going to the front. But it is already known that the Presidential Office is also aware of the suspicion and is preparing to counteract it,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

The Midas case and Yermak’s resignation

In the wake of the NABU/SAP special operation called “Midas” to expose alleged corruption schemes in the energy sector, Andriy Yermak lost his position as head of the OP.

The “tapes” released by NABU, containing conversations between individuals involved in the proceedings, mention a person referred to as “Ali Baba.”

There is no official confirmation from law enforcement agencies that this was the name used to refer to Andriy Yermak, but many experts, politicians, and activists publicly suggest that this nickname belongs to the former head of the Presidential Administration.
