Antimonopoly Committee fines Pivdenny Bank UAH 3 million

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has fined Pivdenny Bank PJSC UAH 3 million for violating the legislation on the protection of economic competition. This was reported by the press service of the committee, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The violation consisted of failure to provide information at the request of the AMCU state commissioner within the prescribed time, which is a violation of Article 50 of the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Economic Competition”.

The decision to impose the fine was made on December 19, 2024. According to the law, failure to provide information at the request of the AMCU is a serious violation that may impede effective control over compliance with antitrust laws.

It is not yet known whether the bank plans to appeal the AMC’s decision. According to the law, it has the right to apply to the court to appeal the decision within the established time limit.
