KAB attack on Kharkiv: one woman killed, number of wounded rises to 11

On January 19, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv once again. The private sector of the Slobidska district came under attack — the occupiers used guided aerial bombs. There are dead and wounded, and significant damage to residential buildings has been reported, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
What happened
The attack was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synyegubov. According to them, the air strikes hit private houses within the city limits.
Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service, medics, and psychologists from the emergency services worked at the sites of the strikes, providing assistance to the affected residents.
Casualties and victims
As of 6:15 p.m., one death has been confirmed—a 69-year-old woman. The number of wounded has risen to 11. Two of them were hospitalized, while the rest were treated by medics on site.
What is known about the destruction
According to the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, about 30 private houses were damaged as a result of the shelling, and one house was completely destroyed. The consequences of the strikes are being recorded by investigators and utility services.
Not the first strike of the day
Earlier that day, Russian troops launched a missile strike on a critical infrastructure facility in Kharkiv. According to preliminary estimates, the damage there is significant, and details are being clarified.
According to the regional administration, at least 30 settlements in the Kharkiv region were under Russian shelling during the week of January 12-18 alone. During this period, four people were killed and 20 were wounded, including two children.
The Kupianskyi district suffered the most damage, as well as the Bohodukhiv, Izium, and Chuhuiv districts. In Kharkiv and its suburbs, the shelling damaged energy facilities, residential buildings, sports and postal infrastructure, cars, and garages.
