Attack on Zaporizhzhia: destroyed ATB and thousands of people without electricity (photos)

On the night of September 27, Russian troops again attacked Zaporizhzhia with kamikaze drones. The attack destroyed an ATB grocery store and left about 9,000 residents without electricity. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration Ivan Fedorov on Telegram, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

How the attack took place

According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, enemy drones were spotted in the northern part of the city around 23:00. A few minutes later, powerful explosions were heard. Later it became known that Zaporizhzhia was attacked by two drones.

As a result of the hit, a civilian facility caught fire. Rescuers, power engineers and utilities were working at the scene.

“Almost at midnight, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia with two UAVs. A fire broke out and a shop was destroyed. Preliminary, there were no casualties,” said Ivan Fedorov.

Consequences of the shelling

Almost 9 thousand subscribers were left without electricity.

An ATB store was destroyed, and windows in nearby buildings were smashed.

Power engineers are already working to restore power supply.

Constant shelling

Zaporizhzhia remains one of the most vulnerable cities in the south. Russia regularly attacks it with drones and bombs, targeting civilian infrastructure.
