Russian attack on Kryvyi Rih: “Shahids” hit a nine-story building and a factory

On the night of March 6, Russian troops attacked Kryvyi Rih with Shahed-136 strike drones. The attack resulted in a direct hit on a nine-story residential building and a business, according to city authorities. The consequences of the attack were reported by the head of the city’s defense council, Oleksandr Vilkul, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Strikes on two locations
According to Vilkul, Russian drones attacked two different locations in the city:
- a nine-story residential building
- an infrastructure facility.
Fires broke out in the city after the strikes. Rescuers and utility services are currently working at the sites, and the aftermath of the attack and rescue operation are ongoing.
Dozens of buildings damaged
According to preliminary information, up to 30 residential buildings were damaged.
The explosions blew out windows in apartments, damaged cars, and caused significant damage to some buildings.
Local residents reported a series of powerful explosions during the night attack.
Aid headquarters set up in the city
Two support headquarters are being set up in Kryvyi Rih to help the affected residents:
- in the Saksagansk district — next to the local school
- in the Dovhyntsivskyi district — near the executive committee building.
There, they will accept applications for financial assistance and coordinate the elimination of the consequences of the attack.
The city promises to help those affected
According to Oleksandr Vilkul, utility services have already begun restoration work. Building materials for temporary repairs to damaged homes are to be delivered shortly.
The city authorities have assured that every affected resident will receive the necessary assistance.
